Kea Studio are a design studio in Wellington, New Zealand and Cologne, Germany. We are passionate about creating engaging digital experiences, such as landing pages, ecommerce stores, email marketing templates, and even HTML5 banner ad animations.
Our tools are carefully picked—the right tool for the right job is our motto. We use headless CMS tools such as Prismic and Sanity.io for content management. This enables the content of the website to be decoupled from the design, allowing content editors, designers and developers to work together harmoniously.
Kea Studio has a close partnership with the science visualisation company Biovidera. Their team of scientists, animators and designers strive to translate complex scientific concepts into relatable animations and art. Biovidera's services include: generating animations for company pitch decks, graphics for scientific publications, promotional videos, and of course beautifully animated visuals for websites.
PTNG Consulting
PTNG Consulting are a bespoke consultancy providing high-level protein engineering and computational biology advice to biotech, pharma industry and universities. Their site was designed to convey how protein engineering is revolutionising medicine, and how the PTNG Consulting team use their in-depth knowledge and longstanding experience to de-risk client projects early on and thus improve chances of clinical success.
Tidal Ventures
Tidal Ventures are a venture capital firm based in Sydney, Australia. They're all about helping founders scale their ideas and build momentum—just like a wave. Their new website was built to reflect that. All the elements of their website have been carefully fine tuned in order to build a consistent, instantly recognisable brand.
Bounce Insurance
Bounce are a company offering earthquake insurance in New Zealand, with fast payouts based on real earthquake data. We helped them build a completely refreshed website, which features their updated - and more bouncy - branding.
Bonjoro
Bonjoro are a forward thinking email app, allowing you to send video emails that engage with customers. They reached out needing their website rebuilt with a slick new design to match their playful identity. Since launching the site we developed, Bonjoro experienced a significant increase in visitor sign-ups.
Kate Fulton's Election Campaign
We created this website for Kate Fulton during her election campaign for Nelson City Council. The website was part of a larger marketing campaign that we helped with, which included a brochure, billboard, Facebook posts, and Google Ads. The goal of the website was to help viewers understand her key values. She was successfully elected.
D2Odb
D2Odb is a user interface for a bioinformatics database that we developed for a research lab at Monash University. The purpose of the project is to enable the research community to explore the link between mutations in proteins and human diseases.
